After a day of waiting at home while the hospital staff delivered 7 babies, we got in just after 7:30 pm. And the wait was worth it as we scored a monster corner suite. Gigantic!
We have a nice nurse who got us settled in and hooked Kate up to heart rate monitors. Not currently on blood pressure cuff and hopefully the only blood draw has been done.
An exam found that Kate is 1cm dilated as the doctor was adding Cervidil to help ripen her cervix. The Cervidil can be in for up to 12 hours and along with ripening things can also cause contractions, so hoping that Kate will be able to get some sleep. Fortunately, that is something she is really good at. We'll see where the next couple (many) hours take things.
