Yesterday Mabel had a pair of vaccines which she did fine with. She next goes to the doctor in May for her 9 month check-up. She wasn't weighed for this last visit, but she doesn't feel any less solid.
The new house appraised fine so we're now up to "final" approval on our loan paperwork. Not sure what that means, but sounds encouraging.
Today's excitement was a trip to Sears to purchase and arrange delivery of a washing machine for the new house. A must have with cotton diapers to wash. We've had a front-loading washer for the past 7 years, about when they started to move mainstream. We are hoping a change in brand, Consumer Report recommendation, and time for improvement will all get us a washing machine that doesn't suck like the Frigidaire (aka Electrolux) we've argued with for years...
We grabbed a quick lunch where Mabel took her first steps into the carnivore landscape with some carnitas. She was a big fan! No flinching. Much better than yogurt.
With 2 weeks until our house closes, the packing has started. Our first floor is getting cramped with boxes and the dogs are a bit concerned. Our hope is that by starting everything now it might be a little less stressful come move day. A valiant hope.
