Nice lazy Sunday

Mabel, still wearing her tutu from the night before, voted for pancakes this morning.


After a leisurely breakfast, I argued with the bathroom for a bit - sink, medicine cabinet, and some plaster/lath out:


We then rallied and took the dogs to the park before Mabel's nap.

Time to lounge.

Busy bloggers

Three of Mabel's grandparents have been out in the past two weeks, followed by Kate taking a long weekend to attend Jake's graduation. With a slight visitor lull, I started taking the walls out of a bathroom in preparation for a makeover. Never a dull moment.

Happy Birthday Mak!

Today is Mak's 9th birthday. We all went to the dog park this morning to enjoy the sun:


Played until Mak was done:


Then some doggy ice cream snacks:


We spent the rest of the day lounging around outside, taking it easy - a nice day for him and us as well.

Tankless, operational

As of yesterday, I passed inspection on the tankless water heater install (with only two minor and now completed revisions). Inspection included the house re-plumbing I had completed a few months ago and the new gas line for the water heater, which passed without any changes. Drained the old tank heater and capped off the gas line to it, freeing up freeing up most of a guest room closet.

Throughout these projects, ensuring Mabel was able to have a bath before bed determined what work I could do each day. And last night, her bath was hot. Good times.
